After appearing as a Judge on the Program the show in 2011, Guarnaschelli took part in The Next Iron Chef's fourth season, where she finished third. The contest ended in defeat on an episode of Food Network Challenge Ultimate Thanksgiving Feast. Following the conclusion of The Following Iron Chef's fourth season, she was appointed sous-chef by Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian. In 2008 she became the host of Food Network's The Cooking Loft with Alex Guarnaschelli where she teaches an intimate group of students teaching them how to reimagine classic recipes.
